The Heartland Dalmatian Club of Greater Kansas City (HDC) is a Regional Dalmatian club under the parent club the Dalmatian Club of America (DCA) and abides by the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club (AKC).

We support the Dalmatian Club of American Foundation, Inc, (DCAF) a 503c non-profit organization that funds health and research grants for the welfare of Dalmatians specifically and canines in general.

We support the official magazine of the DCA, the Spotter. The Spotter is the only online and printed Dalmatian publication.

Originally known as the Central States Dalmatian Association, the Heartland Dalmatian Club has been in existence since August 1981.

On March 14, 1997, we held our first licensed specialty show with more than 100 dogs from 15 states. In 2004, our club sponsored the Dalmatian Club of America National Specialty in Lawrence, Kansas.

Our club members are involved in conformation, obedience, agility, and just enjoying the company of these wonderful dogs.

Our next Regional Specialty Show will be held in March 2019 with the Heart of America Cluster of dog shows in Kansas City, MO. We will not be holding our October 2018 Specialty, in Lawrence, KS.

Club activities include Dalmatian play days, picnics, educational events and assisting at local dog shows.

Most of our members live in Missouri and Kansas.
